Geotargeting fits in with the idea that Google is becoming more personalized. Am I right to say that a specific IP address may mean that your search will be restricted to the area in which you live? Does this mean that if I am travelling I may not find the results to destinations I’m actually looking for before I leave?
Are the ads and search results geotargeted or is the site itself? While at work, I stumbled across what I think is a geotargeted site, www.marlintravel.ca. When I click on the link, it brings me to a page that shows the specific details for the Kingston office, and different vacation packages that may appeal to me based on me living in Kingston.
